Installation Steps

1. Remove the OEM Harness

Carefully disconnect and remove the original chassis harness before proceeding with installation.

2. Lay Out the New Harness

Using the provided wiring diagram, position the harness throughout the chassis. Key connection points include:

Harness B: Interior wiring (ignition, brake switch, headlight turn signal switch, and other cabin-related connections)

Harness C: Front section (ground near the driver-side front rocker, headlights, turn signals, fans, fog lights)

Harness D: Rear section (license plate light, third brake light, tail lights)

3. Install and Wire the PDM Unit

Power Connection: The PDM unit must have a dedicated power connection directly to the battery’s 12V positive terminal. Keep the battery disconnected until all wiring is complete.

Mounting: Securely mount the PDM unit under the dashboard in a stable location.

4. Wire Harness Connections

Interior Wiring (Harness B):

Connect ignition power.

Wire the brake switch.

Connect the headlight turn signal switch.

Secure all ground connections.

Front Wiring (Harness C):

Ground the harness near the driver’s front rocker panel.

Wire in:

Driver and passenger headlights.

Driver and passenger turn signals.

Cooling fans.

Fog lights.

Rear Wiring (Harness D):

Connect:

License plate light.

Third brake light.

Rear tail lights.

Ground connections.

5. Final Checks and Battery Connection

Verify all connections using the master pinout sheet.

Ensure all grounds are properly secured to a clean surface.

Use a multi-meter to check continuity before reconnecting the battery.

Once confirmed, reconnect the battery and test all electrical components.

Common Installation Mistakes

Not following the routing diagram. Always refer to the diagram before securing wires.

Poor grounding. Ensure all grounds are on a clean, unpainted metal surface.

Skipping continuity tests. Use a multi-meter to verify all connections before finalizing installation.

This guide provides a structured approach to installing your chassis harness efficiently. Always double-check your connections and follow the diagram to ensure proper functionality.
